can you change the protocal to tcp/ip?
the setup would be alot easier....
as far as seting up ipx on win2k you should be able to install it from the properties in my network places...also what version of win2k are you useing? is it work station advanced server cause you may have to bump ipx to the top of your network stack for the game to work properly.

Right click on "My network Neighborhood" then click on properties. You should get a window that pops up and should say Network and Dial-up properties. Once your there right click on the network connection that your LAN is using and click on properties. Once your there you should see an install button in the General tab area, click on it. You will see another pop up window, click on protocols and click on the add button then you should see a whole list of protocols, select the one that says "NWlink IPX/SPX NetBios Compatible transport protocol" then click ok. It should install it for you and just follow any instructions it gives you afterwards. I hope I was helpful enough for you. ;)

Hey guys, thanks for all the wonderful answers, but when I right click on the network icon in win2k it just says "make a new connection", "local connection 1" and "local connection 2", it says nothing about adding new protocols....I think you guys are thinking of win98.

men...sheesh ;)

ps thanks bigvince he help so far, lets see if we can get it to work :)( I am using the original build 2195 :)

ok miss booty, here's the deal.

I have win2k... and I made sure to go through the process as well...

right click on local area network 1's properties, and add the protocal, and also the second (by the way, why are there 2?)

adding the protocal is also "install", so just click on that... then you'll see the rest...

dang women.
