Trying to get Internet and File Sharing to work...

Alright, this is what I want to do. I have wireless internet at my house and I connect to it with both my laptop and desktop.

Now, I have a linksys router(wired) that I wanted to connect the two computers to utilize File Sharing between the two. I connected them both up and within minutes I'm good to go. However, how my internet has stopped working because it's trying to use the web with the address given by the wired connection, and not my wireless. Make sense?

How do I fix this? Is there anyway I can say: Use Wireless connection for internet, use Wired connection for inner-network.

Thanks

The simplest way would be to bind TCP/IP as the only protocol on the wireless adapters, and NetBEUI as the only protocol on the wired adapters. Enable File and Printer sharing on the wired adapters and disable it on the wireless adapters

This will force Windows to use the wireless network for anything that requires the use of TCP/IP, such as web browsing, and will still allow the computers to talk to each other using NetBEUI over the wired connection.

How do I use the netbui to get it to work? And can I actually bind those adapters with WinXP? If so, how?

I have wireless internet at my house. I'm trying to use that AND use my other router for file sharing between the two computers.

I got the netbeui setup and all, but everytime I have TCP/IP enabled with it, the internet stops using the wireless and tries to use the wired network. I think I understand how it's supposed to work but it's not doing it. It's getting frustrating.

Router? Other Router???

NetBEUI can not pass Routers.

May be you should describe the exact toplogy of your Network?

I did before.
I have a wireless router in my home. I want to connect to the internet through that.
I also have a wired router in my room. I wanted to connect my two computers to that and use file sharing. Now, what happens is when I enable the wire connection on both my computers, it stops using the wireless for internet. Does it make sense now?

Option 1. Unbind the Wired NICs form TCP/IP and leave them bound to NetBEUI only.

Option 2. Use TCP/IP too but make sure that the Wired NICs and the second Router are forming a separate Network (use a different subnet than the Wireless).
