Trying to get gmail to thunderbird

Was trying to make it so i could read my Gmail using Thunderbird, which should be entirely possible, but it's not working.

I followed this guide fully, didn't miss anything. I'm thinking maybe that guide is outdated. Anyone have any ideas? Got the latest version of thunderbird.

Edit: Nevermind, got it working somehow...didn't change anything but ok.
