As the title says, I'm interested in getting back in shape while losing some weight at the same time. I'm 5'4, nearly 26 now, and weigh about 160lbs, which for my frame is overweight. I'm getting married in February, so I decided that I've had enough. I used to be in great shape when I was in high school, as I used to play lots of soccer. I want to get there again.
My goal is to trim off some fat, and hit 145lbs by my wedding.
I've done a little research, but could still use some advice. What I've done so far is cut sugars out of my diet, stopped eating fast foot, and have begun running about 5 days a week, roughly 2-3 miles each run. I'm also watching how many calories I take in, and trying to eat a few hundred less than what is necessary to keep up my target weight.
Going to pick up some multi vitamins today, and am strongly considering getting a tub of protein, to make shakes, so I can balance my protein to carb ratio better. What do you guys think?
