So I have an old Samsung A167 that was on AT&T, I am now on Verizon. As far as I can tell this phone is not capable of simply moving data over USB to a computer and does not support Samsung's "PC Studio" software either. Can't find anything in the manual about transferring the data and the only thing storage it supports is a SIM card.
I used to be able to forward pictures and messages from the phone to my email address which, while time consuming, would at least work. However I'm not sure what would be the best way to be able to do that again.
Would it be possible to simply buy a "Go" phone on AT&T and drop the SIM card into the Samsung? Or does AT&T offer any sort of 'temporary' or 'pay per use' plan that could be applied to it/activated on it? I would only have need to do this once and then I can manage my own data on my PC of course, so if a bit of a premium is required so be it.
Any ideas? Thanks for your input.
