Trying to get contacts from my phone to outlook

I've never used Outlook before, but I'm trying to get all the contacts from my Pocket PC phone (Verizon XV6700) to Outlook so I can edit and organize them before putting them back on my phone.

I downloaded the Windows Mobile Device Center, but I don't see any options to manage my contacts. When I open Outlook there is nothing in it because I haven't used it before.

What am I missing? Thanks
