Trying to find work in the US for a friend

One of my good friends is getting a PhD in electrical engineering sometime this summer. I think his credentials are pretty good. The only problem is that he is an international student (Greece). However, he said that he is allowed to work for 1 year in the US after he gets his degree.

I'd like to know if you guys know of any companies in the Florida area that deal with placing higher degree, international students to work in US companies. He used to say that he wants to go back to Greece after he graduates, but a thing called "relationship" popped up a couple months ago. His girl's parents do not like the idea of her moving to Greece, so he's willing to stay if he can get a job in the area.

Many of you might say that he can just marry the girl, so he can get a green card. But her parents already think that he is only in the relationship just for that, so he wants to prove to her parents that he really loves her. If he gets a job, then he gets to prove that her parents' assumptions are wrong about the relationship and will most-likely gain their approval for marriage. Plus, once they are married, both of them think that it would be much easier on the girl's parents to accept a move to Greece.

Maybe tough to find a company that sponsors H1B/Green Card in Florida. But lots of company in the west coast do, especially in the bay area. Good EE are in high demand over there.

From my limited experience with temp agencies, if there is legal proof he can work for a certain amount of time in the US, any US placement service should work for him.

Has he looked into postdocs?

Here's my question: Is there a place out there that specializes in finding employment for people with advance degrees? If so, I'd love to hear about it!

I tried looking at postdocjobs.com. Most of the jobs that they have is out of state. I'm going to see if I can try tapping into some sales reps. They usually have close contacts with the hiring managers.
