I'm trying to help a coworker find some RAM to add to his pc. It's an older pc made by a company called NorthGate Computers, that, as far as I can tell, have gone out of business about 2 years ago.

The only thing I know about the PC is that the model is Integra and the CPU is a Pentium Celeron 2.0GHz.

Any information about these PC's, RAM type, or links to specs would be greatly appreciated.

Another option I have considered is having him install some software to analyze his system to tell us what kind of RAM he will need. Does anyone have any recommendations for this? It would have to be easy to use as he is not very PC litereate and I am unable to go to his home to do it for him.

Thanks

Belarc Advisor. Have him install and run it, then save the report and send it to you. Post the important parts here and we'll help figure it out.

Thanks for the info. That program looks like it will work well for what we need. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to analyze the results once I get them and see what RAM we need to get, but if I hit any snags I'll post here for help.

I'm thinking he needs DDR266, but I guess there's a slim chance it has older PC133.

Thanks again!

If the RAM slots have two notches, PC-133. If one, DDR. I just want to check the chipset and make sure it's not a RAMBUS machine.

Northgate went out of business in 2005. I second the use of Belarc - I use it regularly - a great program that really tells you what you need to know.
