Trying to find drivers for my Sony VGN-FS28GP

I need to find the driver for the DVD drive: SONY DVD RW DW-D56A (yes, that's the whole model reported in the winxp device manager).

I tried searching but I couldn't find anything, maybe someone has the driver on the hard disk.

Because it comes up with an exclamation mark, saying:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Also: anyone know any decent places to get Sony tech support, apart from the original website, they suck!

Does anyone know a good place to find drivers? I have searched so much for the drivers to this drive, it's driving me nuts. The Sony website has some kind of autopatcher only, that is only for after installing the driver. I need to find the actual drivers.

Have you tried unintsalling the device and then autodetecting it again and including windows update in the driver search?

Yes I have. And that didn't work either.
