Trying to find an E6300

I've looked at a few sites and they are all out of stock...

There must be some places that still have some, anyone know where?

Read the end of most articles, only the 4mb cache versions will be out in the first 2 weeks of august. The lower end will be out Q4 2006.

I ate all of them. End of story.

I can just imagine the retail packaging for the E6300...

I'm gonna hold out for the E4200 at the end of the year 'cause I'm a cheaper b@stard than the OP.

If you live in the UK you could preorder it from novatech.co.uk
If not you'll have to wait until July 27th, which is when you could order it from online retailers, such as newegg.com, pagecomputers.com, zipzoomfly, and tigerdirect.

I'm holding out to, since I'm an even cheaper b@stard. The problem with lower end models is that the max overclock is limited by the ability of the motherboard to hit insane FSB speeds.

what does living in the US have to do with overclocking? 😕

i'm holding out on good, high FSB boards. hopefully DFI will release a Lanparty series board that will fit the bill. E6400 for me. 😀

Well, that's kind of offset by a lower initial FSB.

Same here. I may do something temporary in between now and then, but my heart is set on a cheap E4200. Unfortunately, even though it has a lower FSB, its multiplier still isn't that good, at 8. It will take 375FSB to get to 3Ghz, which should be easily doable, but I'd like to go much higher. A 3.5Ghz OC would take 437FSB...I'm hoping boards by then will have no trouble doing so.

They used the Asus P5W-DH Deluxe. I'm picking one up as soon as it comes back in stock at Newegg. It's gone up $35 and fluctuated in and out of stock over the last 2 weeks. I'm going to practice overclocking on a Pentium D 805 first (~$115) before I give it a shot with a Core 2 Duo E6600 (~$350).

Theres a hurry because I wanted to have this computer built months ago...

Everyone said wait for Conroe so I waited.. and now that its out I find out the stores are out of stock

So now I have to wait another 2 weeks:disgust:

Not out of stock... simply not available yet. (With the exception of the X6800, which was for some reason launched early, then pulled)
Wait till the 24/27th

Sold out, back order, whatever. They haven't been "hard launched" yet. Availability is the 24/27th.

Aside from preorders, no retail C2Ds have been sold.
