hello recently we lost a server that's main purpose was to backup to an external HP Ultrium 3 SAS based tape drive. So I'm looking to move the tape drive over to one of or workstations in order to avoid the cost of a new server or workstation however the problem is non of our current workstations have PCI-Express slots.
I'm now trying to find a regular PCI Controller/Apadater card that has an external SAS port. So far I haven't had any luck on my search as regular PCI has become increasingly rare now days. I was wondering if anyone here knew of any models/brands of PCI SAS controllers out there? particularly HP. Thanks
