Trying to find a particular stratagy game that came out this year or last.

Last year I read a pre-release review of a game that was made by one of the original creators of Age of Empires. I guess some didn't like the route the newer AOE games were taking and this guy wanted to focus more on the hunting, gathering and society as apposed to the war aspect of the game. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I'll give $5 to anyone that can tell me what the name of this damn game is. I was really looking forward to trying it.
Pretty sure it would have been released early this year or late last year.
I might be a little off on my dates though...

It is neither of those titles. I am familiar with the Caeser series so I would have remembered that. I remember playing the demo of Rise and fall:Civilizations at War a couple years back and am quite sure that is not it either. Also I didn't see any of the creators names that rung a bell with me.

Well..google search for "strategy pc game hunting gathering" = Age of Mythology [by Ensemble]

Rick did leave to form his own company called Stainless Steel Studios to create Empire Earth.
