trying to figure out what this song is...

Kind of a middle eastern/indian trance/techno sort of deal. Main loop is (I believe) a sitar and the beat and other sounds are pretty much all electronic I think.

I remember it being the background music for a video I saw on youtube of a skateboarder who I think was Rodney Mullen. The video started out in the very early morning (dark and orange street lights) in a parking lot with the skateboarder doing some spinning type ground tricks (that I've seen Rodney Mullen do before). I think the video was titled "putting a whole new spin on things" or something like this. Does anyone know the name of this song or the artist that created it? I think the video was orginally from CJ b/c i seem to remember a CJ logo on the bottom...

Was it by Thievery Corporation by chance? They're a group out of DC that blend electronic beats with middle eastern and asian themes.

Also, maybe look into DJ Punjabi.

man - you are good! you nailed it! the song is called "lebanese blonde" by thievery corporation off the mirror conspiracy album. thanks!
