I'm trying to use virtualdub with x264 to encode a lot of game footage, but for some reason it's refusing to encode to my satisfaction.
so i tried doing it with xvid, and it's displaying the same problem.
what it looks like is this:

what it should look like is this.

i know there's a setting somewhere that i'm missing, but i dont know what it is. but nothing i encode with virtualdub at the moment turns out *right*. it all has that wierd shift.
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
