Trying to dual display in Win XP

Hey, i stuck in an old PCI vid card (chipset S3 Virge/VX), and when i boot up, it says that "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Does this mean that the card is dead??

or Just that i need better drivers... and if so where i can find better drivers?

what else can i do?

most likely its not compatible. i had good luck with matrox pci and ati.

well, i dont exactly have spare PCI video cards laying around, so i cant test others...

any other ideas?
