Trying to disassemble a Sager Notebook...

Hi there,

I am trying to change out the HDD in an older Sager laptop that I have here. Everything is going good expect there appears to be a screw or two under the keyboard that is holding the lower plastic and upper plastic halves together.

I have not yet discovered how to remove the keyboard, should I be concentrating on that now? Is that what my problem is? Is there a screw or two hidden under a couple of keys, or should I try and pop off the entire keyboard as a unit?

HELP!

Dunno about sager, but on dells and ibm have the HDDs are removable by simply removing one screw from the bottom.

I believe that the entire keyboard comes up, I don't recall there being any screws under any keys themselves.

Thanks guys, you were right....the entire keyboard pops up on the Sager series and that's how you access the HDD. Much like the other brand laptops, you pop up the rear rear portion of the keyboard, then rotate the entire keyboard forward.

Now I'm trying to test a supposedly bum HDD to see if it's good or not.....
