I've been wanting to get a 21" monitor and my friend is selling a fairly new NOKIA 445XI for just about $300. Has anyone used or owned this monitor? What do you think of it? Looking for any comments or opinions on the specs of the product. I'm looking to spend upto 350$ on a monitor.

and a review:

Of all the monitors tested, the Nokia Multigraph 445 Xi ($1,899 list) has style in abundance. And its beauty isn't just skin-deep: The 445 Xi delivers a good-quality image for corporate desktops and demanding graphics applications.

Built around a 21-inch Invar shadow mask CRT with an impressively fine 0.22-mm mask pitch, the unit can be run at its optimal 1,280-by-1,024 resolution with a flicker-free 100-Hz refresh (1,600-by-1,200 is supported at a more-than-acceptable 80 Hz). The result is an image that seems to outperform the numbers recorded on our objective tests, which were generally average or a little below. A somewhat high Vertical Pincushioning error was not detectable on either the DisplayMate test or Photoshop images.

If the 445 Xi has a noticeable Achilles' heel, it's the on-screen display controls, which weren't as extensive or as intuitive as some. But images were sharp and clear, with crisp edges on the smallest detail and great color depth and accuracy. The 445 Xi also maintained color and luminance uniformity right out to the edge of its display area.

Nokia's 445 Xi has a sharp picture. NEC's MultiSync is excellent for CAD. Mit-subishi's Diamond Pro offers photo-realistic images.
