Same identical architecture on both CPU's. If you want a much cooler running CPU, I'd go with a 512k L2 processor. The 1 Meg L2 doesn't do much of anything for the great majority of app's. If I had to buy another CPU rite now, I'd get one of the 512k L2 variants.
