I have captured my vidoe using Pinnacle 8.0, I am trying to now burn it to a DVD. I keep getting coasters. Is there a better software to use to do this? In Pinnacle I selected the clips I want and then went to the settings tab and selected DVD burn format, it says I have plenty of space on the balnk DVD, but when I run it it takes hours and when all said and done theres nothing on the burned DVD. I have got a message that there is not enough space on my hard drive but I have 13 gigs left so I'm not sure why that comes up. If any knows a easier way I would definately appreciate it. Thanks!

Try saving it as an avi or mpeg to the HD and see what size you come up with. I usually make my movies with all transitions, bg music and editing in studio 8 and then save to the HD and then make menu and burn with Sonic MyDVD or Ulead DVD Movie Factory, sometimes adding slide shows etc.

Well I just did a test run using studio 8 only and it burned just fine and plays in the set top box I have in the living room. What size is the original avi File that you captured ?
Maybe you need to trim it down a bit or or convert it to mpeg.
Studio will save the files to auxiliary folder on the HD the same size as the original you are working with, so you need lots of space for doing video editing.

I will checj to see what format I saved it originally as. I have 13 Gig on my hard drive left. The video is about 40 minutes long and I haven't editied anything special into it, it's just the plain video I shot from a wedding for a friend.

Thats probably an 8-9GB .avi file somewhere on your PC :)
save it as an mpeg and it should fit on a single DVD

I contacted Pinnacle and they said 13 Gigs isn't enough room on my hard drive. I will add another drive and transfer all non video files to clear up space on my master drive to see if this works. Thanks!
