Trying to burn .avi file

As im sure some of you know, a member put the fiesta bowl ending up for us to download, i did so, and its great. However i want to burn it and nothing is letting me. Nero, DIVX, WMP.... im not sure what to do
 
you have to covert it to a dvd format unless you just want the file on a disc

I use winavi. it is shareware, but that isn't stopping you from...well you know
