I just remembered that one of the recent versions had problems burning cd's. Do you have the latest (6.0.0.19)?

vcd on 1 disc? you are going to get poor quality. vcd/svcd must be done on 2 discs.

I would just split the file in half (w/ virtualdub), then encode each file seperately in nero.

Although, at the end of the year divx/dvd players will be available for purchase. So, I would avoid vcd/svcd encoding, since divx video quality is much better.

But, if you want to share your MPEG videos, vcd/svcd may be the best choice, since friends/family/etc. all will not purchase a divx/dvd player.

He's trying to burn a vcd movie file. Spliting a vcd movie file and encoding them to two CDs will not improve the video quality.

not all burners support overburning. mine doesn't. the rare time that i did have a file so big, i used tmpgenc to clip off the ending credits or very beginning titles to shave some room so i could do it.
