Trying to build a house....

Damn. I am at the sheetrock taping stage and it simply will not stop raining here. Something like 26 days in a row.

Need to get the exterior painted, the septic system in, the main power lines pulled through the conduit, the driveway poured etc., and much more rain is expected.

I am doing most of the work myself. I framed it, did the siding, the electrical, plumbing, network cable and phone wiring, and am going to do all the painting, finish work, tile, and the plumbing and electrical fixtures.

DAMN IT!

well...there is a good chance that the rain will go on a bit more..beating the old 33 day record for what is worth. Time will tell.

The house is looking downright awesome though. Wish you had more pics of what the place you are building in looks like

That's what you get for trying to build a house in Western WA in the middle of winter. What the hell did you expect? 80 and sunny? Are you a transplanted Californian or something like that that you do not know this?

I got tons of pics. Anything in particular?

Something that shows the house in its future habitat. Or the plot of land before you started building. Just so I get the idea of the view from your future house.

That's a funny place for an electric meter

thats completely normal for a house under construction as it provides a spot to plug in tools

however from what i see, it sits either WAY the fvck off the road, or right near the road.

house has some money into it, walk out basements cost some money

that house also looks like its been under construction FOREVER because grass normally doesnt grow around houses fast at ALL hell, we could be backfilling a house and it still normally didnt have gras....

The grass out front has always been there. It was not plowed under or anything.

Started construction in June.

Hahaha...
Hello fellow western Washington state dude 🙂...

Too bad I think our raining streak ended cause of today.
Yet more rain is expected so tough luck.

interesting, was the basement dug from the back? just never seen it where grass was ever left on the house when digging, typically got trampled over numerous times, and then covered up by the left over dirt

The house sits about 25' back from the road. And if you look, the grass is growing right around where the power pedastal and cable bax equipment sits, so no heavy equipment got near that.

I will post some more pics in the morning.
