Trying to access PC on network

I have my two PCs on a home network.

Now my main PC can see all the shared folders beautifully & smoothly on my 2nd PC.

But when i go to network places on my 2nd PC, it often freezes, or will take ages to bring up the main PC.

Weirdly enough, i can transfer files (if i use the main PC) with no issues.

Anyone have any ideas why the 2nd PC seems to have trouble seeing the main PC?

Sorry.

Specs are in my rig link.

Both PCs are Windows XP Pro..

Not sure which is master browser...never heard of that before.

I am using a router.

It's just strange.

Before this, my main PC was the one taking forever to access the 2nd, & then i formatted, & now it's the 2nd PC taking a long time whenever i want to browse the main one.
