I have never played SWG, I am patching up a 14 day trial right now. What's a fun class besides jedi and what server is good to play on? Thank you.
 
Yeah and from what I hear, it's going to be like pre-borking SWG instead of the mess it is now. The spaceflight expansion is not going to be included IIRC, so if you're into that it might be worth playing the current game with space for now.

I never really got into it, but one of the co-leaders of the clan I'm in is a complete Star Wars nut. The clan's name is Rogue Squadron :laugh: but anyway he was a huge SWG player back in the day, 1000+ hours on xfire, and he's super excited about the emu.
 
I'll look forward to the emu, but I still need an MMO recommendation. I played Eve Online for 4 years and got done earlier this year. I REALLY don't want to start over. I don't want to play WOW either.
 
People have been saying the EMU is coming out soon for 2 years now. Don't count on it.

SWG is decent, very complex and more bugs than the usual MMO.

For servers ONLY go Bria, Ahazi, Bloodfin, or Europe Chimaera.
 
There aren't really any new good MMOs out right now. I don't play WoW, but I've spent a good while playing Guild Wars and the expansions. If you like instanced games, GW is good. I'm also looking for a new MMO, I played a bit of EVE and am unsure if I want to continue. I'm looking forward to Aion and Jumpgate: Evolution, but nothing out there now really interests me 🙁
 
Eve was fun but for the last calendar year I didn't get any enjoyment from it. It felt like logging into a job each day. I had just enough responsibility and possessions to make me worry all the time and not really play the game. I quit in late December and now I kind of miss having an MMO but I am afraid to approach my former corp/alliance mates and I don't want to create a new character (yes, I sold mine) since it took me literally years of work to get where I got.

I have the itch for a new MMO, I will keep looking.

Update on SWG:

Well I got to level 5 and the server had to go down. Jury is out so far.
 
I'm actually beta testing one of the EMU servers for this right now. It reminds me of the good times of this game. Only problem is that, you can only go to 2 cities and the surrounding areas in them, you have access to any profession, class you want and your skills are already topped out. No XP is given for killing creatures and no quests are setup yet. So pretty much you just pick a skill learn it all the way and go fight kryat dragons.
 
Spy is pretty fun and bloodfin is the hottest server still according to the the community. Spy is a bit difficult to get up but once you hit lvl 10 or so it is a solid choice. It is also pretty slick in PVP.
