Uh, you're talking about that file that supposedly expands to more GB than can fit in the average GPUs memory, which in fact it does if the color-depth is 32-bit. It's an interesting trick, and there are a few others out there such as the file that decompresses to itself.
 
Most programs refused to open it calling the file corrupt or non standard file format. Gimp 2.6 is trying to open it but looks like it will take until next tuesday. Shall I pour myself a drink and wait or cancel?
 
Windows is reporting 225,000 x 225,000 pixels. Don't know if that's accurate, can anyone confirm?

And what is that like 50,000 megapixels?

edit: I just read the OPs link that confirms it's 50 gigapixels.
