OK, I had an Asus A7V600-X and Geforce Ti4200 and now I have an Asus K8N4-E Deluxe and X700 Pro. I don't know if the monitor (Viewsonic A70) is the one doing this but on both setups, I saw the same thing on the screen.

Go to http://www.hardforum.com open a thread and highlight a large block of text. (Click on your mouse and drag.) Just look at the screen for half a minute. Do you see tiny black lines that "travel" along the lines of text?

It's freaky man! How can I have the same thing show up on two different setups?
 
Sounds like a monitor issue, if it's common to two different GPUs. If your X700Pro has a DVI out, and you have a dongle to covert to VGA, trying running the monitor that way to see if it resolves your issue.
