I used to think the same when I ran a ware* server for a while on dial-up. I got broadband, ended up turning it into more of a corporate server than illegal. offered my friends hosting, hosted myself, had this high speed state of the art infrastructure planed out. Boom, they found out and told me to take it off. 🙁 I'd have to pay 150/mo and I'd get a 15GB limit. Not worth it at all. Later on I'd like to get OC3 but I can't imagine how much that must cost, especially to consider that it's basically the biggest transport system used around here. The main pipe line for Canada is an OC45 I think...

But it's worth getting broadband for that, and if you are strategic, you can make it harder for your isp to find out, such as using a different port etc.
