Try my CS server and a question...

The IP is 128.197.178.225. The server is located in Boston. If you try it out, let me know how the connection was. Right now it is running 32-player de_dust.

Which brings me to my question: which maps besides de_dust warrant a dedicated server? I haven't really touched any of the new cs1.1 maps, and other than assault, I don't think there are any. Let me know if there are any.

Finally, If I could find some reliable people to play here I would give out rcon access. I would love to make it a ff-enabled server, but without an admin present, its not worth it. Email me if you would like this opportunity.

Almost all of the maps in CS are quality. The question is really, "which maps don't warrant a dedicated server?" Personally, I can't stand assault and I think dust is a bit overplayed. cs_backalley, de_train, cs_arabstreets and cs_thunder are all pretty terrible and should be left out of any rotation. IMO, the rest of the maps are good and should be in any good server's rotation.

If you play for high scores assault sucks, if you play for excitment and challenge assault is the best.

All maps warrant a dedicated server. If you host and play at the same time, it will be laggy for you and everyone else on the server. With a dedicated server, it does nothing more than to serve the game for everyone.

Well, that is a dedicated server, what I meant was a server dedicated to a specific map - as in, it plays that map and nothing else. Thanks for the input so far, I'm looking to perhaps set up a few more servers in the future.

Italy is a classic, so is Arabstreets. Dust is great for its simplicity and I've even warmed up to Dust2, but they're a little too simple...
