You need to know basic logic for life in general. Lets say I offer to give you $100 if you wash my car AND mow my lawn. Would you expect me to give you the $ if you only washed the car? Would you expect the money if you did neither, or only mowed the lawn? You use basic logic like AND, OR, NOT all the time.

I guess you're just getting frustrated by the format, because this is as easy as basic multiplication.

What about it do you not get? Can you get a single answer on the table? Can you answer them when they're not in the table? It's the same thing.

Let's see here, practically any electrical engineering or computer science job. If you have to use digital circuits in any way as well. But the underlying point of a truth table is that it is an exercise in logic which I will hazard to guess applies to just about any field.

Surprising as it sounds, textbooks explain concepts and ideas, and often give real world examples to aid in understanding.

No your not trying. I posted that link to wikipedia and then 2 minutes later you responded that you looked at it and didn't understand. That wiki page has everyhting you need to know and you should have read it and thought about it for longer than 2 minutes if you really wanted to understand this stuff.
