That's a great video. It has always been the way I think companies should be run. When I worked as a server tech my motivation was not really money, it was to make the environment better. But they put so many barriers and red tape that every time I did do something to make things better I'd get in trouble, so I gave up. I left the job not because of money, but because I just felt unmotivated because of the environment and the way the crazy IT manager ran things. It just so happens that my new job gives me more money, but it's not the sole motivator as to why I left.
I know that if I ran a company, I would make sure that the environment is fun and motivating, and that there's not red tape and barriers that stop people from being able to do things how they like and if they think they can improve something, they'd be listened to and it would actually be considered. Not "No that's the way it is because [...]" and the person's idea is shot down. Overall if you make a great work environment where people feel that they can do a difference and that their work is appreciated, they're much more motivated.
