I know what kind of graphics card I want. I need help choosing a reputable vendor. What companies have you guys dealt with in the past. Who would you recommend?

If your going the Nvidia 6800 route id recommend the BFG 6800nu. Outpost.com has them for 250, plus you can unlock the pipelines and vertex shader to have 16 pipelines and 6 vertex shaders, and its already overclocked 25 mhz from the factory. Also Lifetime Warranty!

Nvidia = BFG, PNY, eVGA, Gigabyte, ASUS
ATI = Sapphire, ATi, Gigabyte, ASUS

Off the top of my head.

Doh! Sorry, I should have been a little more specific. I'm looking at a 6800 or 6800gt.
Just note sure who I want to buy it from (chaintech, evga, elsa, leadtek, pny, etc)

check out newegg.com and read the reviews

evga, pny, leadtek, bfg, chaintech, gainward, asus have all been in the game awhile. Word of advice, stay away from visiontek, bad experience.

What's the word on MSI cards? I know I won't trust one of their motherboards, but do they fare better on the video card side of things?

I have a gigabyte 9600 pro and she has served me well so far. Got it for a fair price too. If I were you though I would like for something with a little more horsepower because now adays you can get a 9800 pro or higher on the cheap.
