Finally the latest iOS is jailbroken but should I trust it ?

What does one gain from jailbreaking today? Just curious. I jailbroke my original iPod Touch back in the day and that was cool, but it was before there was even an App store so it was pretty essential. Now? I have no idea what jailbreaking offers.

I can only assume people are still stealing apps. Hence, a need for jailbreak.

I'm sure pirating apps is part of it.

I am sort of out of the Apple world right right except an iPad I never use, but I imagine the reasons I used a jailbreak still exist. I like being able to apply small usability tweaks like adjusting the number of volume steps, adding widgets to the launcher screen and simply customizing the look of my devices. And running Activator.

I like having always the most up to date version of a app or tweak. Pirating apps does not allow that plus there full of malware.

While that (pirating) may be true for some people who jailbreak, I personally jailbreak because of certain tweaks that make my phone much better to use. I also bought of all of my tweaks and have no pirated apps or tweaks on my phone, because who knows if there is malware or other crap hidden in them.

CCSettings - change control center toggles to whatever I want (I have DND, hotspot, Bluetooth, wi-fi, and orientation lock)
iFile (paid) - full featured file manager for iOS, really handy for replacing files
LockSafety - can still use the sleep/wake button to put phone to sleep, just doesn't let you power off on lockscreen
Mikoto - all-in-one tweak, best to look up exactly what does
NoSlowAnimations - significantly reduces iOS animations and makes phone feel much faster
SpotlightBeGone - disables spotlight either from sliding down and/or swiping left on homescreen
SwipeSelection Pro (paid) - lets me swipe to make text cursor go backwards and forwards (I have the pro version because i wanted to swipe everywhere on the keyboard except for the spacebar - free version is good enough for most people though)
TetherMe (paid) - allows tethering for free, even if your plan doesn't have it
