Trust OCCT to update DirectX?

Trying to use OCCT to test my new card but it wants to update my DirectX. Dxdiag.exe shows DirectX ver 11 (but notes it could be 11.1, I think 11.1 and 11.2 are only for Windows 8). Should I trust OCCT to update my DirectX?

I'm leary as the company is in Russia but I really want to run OCCT, not a similar GPU test. I don't want to update my Windows 7 for DirectX and the MS page for 'Platform update for Windows 7 SP1' doesn't list any DirectX improvements. Plus I think DirectX 11 is as high as I can go for Windows 7.

OCCT forums are offline now but I don't find any search results about this anywhere.

Also, would anyone be able to tell me how to turn off the highlighted buttons for the other tests, like on the cpu tab, in OCCT?

Thank you,

Mac

DirectX got minor updates. Games install these too as needed. There are 43 minor updates or so for DX11.

You can always go to MS's site for all DX updates.
Get their DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.

Most likely it's gonna load old updates to directX that are not in newer OS's. Sometimes apps need old things like older directX components and .net files.
