Anything that gives their party an advantage, more money or more power.

So like stopping a state from recounting all its votes? Like saying votes that are post marked before the election shouldn’t be counted if they aren’t counted by a certain time frame? Like ruling that corporations are people and allowed to give unlimited amounts of money?

If that’s not what you mean then I’ll gladly take some examples from you of exactly what you are talking about.

.

That's 250,000-350,000 dead Americans from medical error every damn year and it's been going on for every year for a decade at least.

So dishonest. That happens despite the honest efforts of everybody involved to do better. Meanwhile, Trump is rallying the maskless morons all over the country.

That's not trying to do better. Quite the contrary.

No, I already mentioned this many times. Keep trying to win elections. You guys act like a SCOTUS seat will never, ever be up for grabs ever again. When history shows up that in fact, they are up for grabs almost every term. So work on that. That's not surrender, at all.
The radical right SCOTUS is doing everything they can to rig elections right now.

You mean as when the Feds control some red States voting affairs it's perfectly OK, but if the feds do it with blue States it's an abomination?

We're all just rolling around in the mud as long as your side is winning right? When was the last time you punished the GOP because of bad behavior?
I don’t have a side. As a voter, there is only one way I know to punish them and that is to deny them my vote. I submitted my ballot for Joe Biden last week. Is that sufficient, or do I also need to virtue signal and clutch pearls on an internet forum as well?

He just had his panties in such a bunch about Covid, but somehow other deaths for other reasons don't matter.

Was there a bill sitting in mitch's desk that addressed the medical malpractice you are concerned about? Because, as was pointed out by the poster you resounded to, there was a bill on mitch's desk and instead of taking it up they decided to push through a supreme court nomination.

So I'm not sure what your point was as it didn't address the other posters point at all.

This case.

So to you, people who voted by mail and mailed their ballots in by election day should not have their vote counted because you think that helps Democrats and the dissenting opinions are because they were trying to help Democrats?

Interesting.

Whataboutism failure. After the superspreader event in the Rose Garden Trump is now holding them all over the country. Three more today. Two tomorrow. More everyday up until the election. It's full blown malevolent narcissism on display.

This case.

Wisconsin is not a red state. They are purple. One election does not make it red. Additionally, why is wrong to count all the votes? Why should there be an arbitrary date? Did they get next day results in 1800? Why is it so important now to have a decision on the evening of the election?

Unless there is overwhelming support for this via polling or huge Senate gains...it will backfire and invite further retaliation.

The response should not be "we need to change the rules," but rather "we need to find a way to be more popular, win more elections, convince more people of our policies."

I actually think Biden has the right idea, measured and patient. Try to strike a bipartisan agreement on certain reforms. Term limits might be some low hanging fruit to go after. But just expanding the court because you can...would probably end them as a party for the foreseeable future.
hmmm so a Dem president needs to be bi-partisan yet a Repub President can do whatever the fuck he wants (including grabbing women by the pussy)

Interesting.

Pretty much this is the case. A reasonable society would adjust to a once in a century pandemic with a few day buffer which is a pretty fair compromise - but instead Trump's lackey cripples the USPS and the Supreme Court delivers the knockout blow.

These people are corrupted. Reagan even said:
Democracy is worth dying for, because it's the most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man.

He just meant it for rich people. Today's republicans just mean it for Republican voters that vote for rich people.

Did I mention medical malpractice? No. It's medical error.

And the not really liberal Democrats that people keep voting in probably won't do shit about it even though they can easily turn the tables and make the Republicans cry if they get the likely trifecta. Very mixed signals and not a good sign Biden is suggesting a 180 day bipartisan panel.

There is no point for Democrats to argue with Republicans over this. Argue with fellow Democrats who are on the fence or against court packing, but once you have the votes, Republicans shouldn't factor into the decision at all, pack the court and move on to other issues.
