Stefanik isn't attractive enough for him to pick her. Remember, he likes to pick people "right out of central scouting".

Right, like Hope Hicks, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Cassidy Hutchinson, and Sarah Matthews... people that turned on him or left. I agree he's that shallow, but he wants and requires absolute loyalty this time around. Stefanik pretty much fits that bill. Narcissists appreciate beauty, but not the kind that when close it steals the attention. Maybe he's in the market for another Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

He complimented Stefanik recently in front of people, referring to her as "a killer," that she's "near the top" of the list.

I guess we'll see soon who gets to be ineligible with him for 2024.

IMO ...Trump has two requirements for a VP:

One ...Absolute slavish subservience. Especially after Pence’s “betrayal,” he will insist on a VP who always will put Trump’s interests ahead of his/her own. This will keep Haley, Cruz, Hawley, Rubio and any other politicians with future Presidential ambition off the ticket. Likewise, he’ll never choose Graham because while such a blatant lickspittle has his uses, he doesn’t project the strength and sophistication that Trump associates with his brand. DeSantis was never going to be his running mate because they’re both Florida residents.

Two ... Complementing his brand. He will insist on someone who “looks the part.” While he may choose a woman, it will most likely not be Stefanik or Huckabee-Sanders because – in his twisted, misogynist mind – they don’t look like the kind of women who should be standing at his side.

It's possible he'll pick Kari Lake, with him wishing the whole time that she were just ten years younger, had longer hair and bigger tits. Lake claims she was the victim of massive voter fraud just like Trump. And unlike those other pussies Trump endorsed in the midterms, Lake refused to concede. Donald will like how “Trump - Lake” sounds. Like someone named a huge body of water after him. He’s just that fucking stupidly narcissistic. Trump is transactional - what can a new VP candidate GIVE him? Compared to what he already has in hand? Very little. If outright bribes were allowed or available, it would be an open field. Lake is totally in the bag for him, is as batshit crazy as he is on election bullshit, might help him win Arizona and win over suburban women (or so he’ll think).

It's possible he might pick Ramaswamy. He fits his brand - A slimy grifter. And he ass kisses Trump with the best of them. Trump most likely loved when he publicly announced he would voluntarily withdraw from the Colorado primary after Trump’s name was removed. That’s the kind of ass kissing Trump expects. Even though Ramaswamy is brown and not Christian, Trump has demonstrated he can tell the MAGAs anything and they will agree with him. In fact after Pence “betrayed” him, Trump will probably see Ramaswamy not being a Christian as a plus. He will have no Christian faith to feel guilty about when Donald wants him to break the law. And Ramaswamy’s race and religion will mean Trump most likely won’t find him as threatening. But he is a big personality and Trump might not like that. He's a long shot.

Other long shots would be JD Vance, Tucker Carlson and Micheal Flynn. Flynn has zero future except as a limpet on Trumpdom, and both he and Trump know this.

Trump’s ideal pick would be no one. He doesn’t want to share and he doesn’t want to admit he is mortal and susceptible to illness and death. And he hates the existence of the office of VP, because he can’t fire the VP. So it's possible he’s going to go the mob boss route and try to pick his son Don Jr. That’s as close to nothing as he can get. Well, Eric would be even closer to nothing, but I don’t think he’ll go that far. Plus, it's the easiest way to insure his legacy. Then that family member runs for president to continue the Trump dynasty.

Regardless of who Trump ultimately chooses, the one thing we can all look forward to is the vicious public backbiting as the candidates try to impress Trump by mercilessly ass lick and back-stab each other. That’s what Trump lives for - he’ll just sit back with that dough-face while they try to out-batshit and out-sycophant one another. He’s gonna love that - which is why he hasn’t said who he will pick, because just teasing it out there will get them all in order to start the butt-snorkeling.

Didn't know where to post this query and thought this thread seemed the most likely:

With Trump's delaying tactics working as expected in mind, if he wins this year and gets feloniously convicted on multiple counts over different charges after he's in office, what will happen to him? Will his requirement to serve time be delayed until after his term? Will he be yanked out of office, thrown in jail and have his Vice Pres. take over and pardon him so he can then stroll back into the White House? Something else?

Mods let me know if I need to start a new thread about this. thx

Trump would do best picking a female who is more moderate than him. You know he will go for a attractive woman who has a history of praising him. That's why he will consider Kristi Noem.

Interesting .... Yeah, that might be it for her. Scratch her off the list. Although that is something he would do...

Not only that, but it all but kills Lake's senate candidacy as well. She'll never get enough of the vote without his MAGA support.

i think there is a third requirement, the VP can not outperform/steal the spotlight from Trump. Pence was dull, just as the next VP pick will be. people like MTG, Gaetz, Boebert and Jordan attract too much attention and Trump will have none of that.

Too old! If he'd get his kickside by atractiveness, then there definitely should get Melania 2.0, sorry, I mean Hubba

I wanna say Tucker or Marge. Marge is uncontrollable in terms of IQ she's gonna fuck things up left and right, so it's gonna be Tucker.

Except that the Trump campaign is not stupid, they dont need to convince the MAGA base twice (Trump & Tucker), what they want is someone independents can nod to.

So I am gonna go with Nikki.

Tucker won’t be it because he’ll steal the spotlight from Trump and Trump can’t have that.

Probably isn't the right thread but I think the common answer is 'nobody knows for sure'. I feel like any state charges should apply regardless of the state of the executive, and the VP should serve in lieu. Federal charges probably get defacto dismissed unless the executive feels like spending time in federal prison I guess.

Either way expect the SC to weigh in.

If he's in office when convicted at a minimum his sentence would be delayed until his term was over. If the convictions are federal he'll just pardon himself or resign with 1 minute to go in his term or whatever and have his VP pardon him.

As far as state charges go while they couldn't imprison him during his term in office they could absolutely do so after he was done. Your sentence doesn't start until you actually serve it and there's no statute of limitations for imposing the sentence once convicted. (so like if you flee the country and they catch you 20 years after you were sentenced to 5 years in prison, you still do the 5)

Basically if he wins he will skate.
