When the lawyers representing you start quitting their job, things ain't lookin' good. I think it's possible Trump is demanding an approach that isn't believed to be in his interest. Well, that's the best possible (for Trump) way I can reason things.

I’d speculate many are going to be indicted for conspiracy to obstruct justice at some point.

Not just anyone but the The President of the United States, you'd think you'd give it the best you ever had and leave your career on a high note. On the other hand if you know something about your client or he wants you to do something stupid it might just be time to hang it up and save the embarrassment.

Trump has to be a nightmare client for his attorneys. Mission Impossible. My sympathies & good luck to Mr Cobb. He may need extensive therapy.

Any of our resident Trump fans want to keep claiming that he hasn't done anything wrong and won't face criminal action?

My expectation is that Cobb is leaving because The Donald is looking to create a true legal crisis and Cobb doesn't want his name to go down in history this way.

IMO if Mueller has sufficient material to convict he should subpoena Trump and when Donny refuses to obey, the SCOTUS steps in as it has in the past.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the leaked questions.

That's certainly what it feels like. Trump is intransigent to the point where he would trigger a constitutional crisis rather face justice. Staying with him is like going down with the ship when there's a spare lifeboat.

Rats usually leave a ship before it sinks. Not after.

If we catch this guy at the airport with his passport then you know whats going down.

Maybe Cobb wanted to actually get paid for his work and our Dear Leader thought otherwise.

Smartest move Cobb ever made. Juggling an impertinent pissed off skunk in your hands knowing it's just about ready to let loose a shower of stank and then timely tossing that uncontrollable little pissed off stinker at someone else who thinks it will embellish their record as a crisis manager and a patriotic duty to boot is wiser than wise.

Hiring Flood seems to be a reckoning and acknowledgement by the Trump team that they are definitely going down the same road Nixon went.

Word on the street is that the other lawyers didn't agree with the overall direction cobb was going, which was complete cooperation. If true then we can expect his lawyers to start using executive privilege as a reason not to give Mueller anything he asks for.

Of course. OTOH, executive privilege does not cover anything prior to Trump's oath of office.

It didn't play well for Nixon, either.

They already got most of it so a bit late to call privilege.

Cohen had how many cel phones? Giuliani said what? They want to impeach Rosenstein?

Yeah I’m just shocked Cobb is dropping Dump like an ant-riddled Twinkie.
