I only care because it happened right next to my home town. I am no longer surprised at false stories about leftists doing horrible shit. Nor will I be surprised if the propaganda networks like Fox ignore it completely, or worse, keep spreading the lie because its good propaganda.

I disagree. Granted, MOST Democrats are farther to the center than people admit, but there's still that "green hair" wing that's way out in left field.

When all you have is a bag of farts to defend yourself with, you have to back those up with real bullshit in order to make a point. This is the current state of affairs that the GOP leadership finds itself in, having to appease both their wealthy benefactors and their working class voters of whom are in direct opposition to each other when fighting for a bigger piece of the American pie.

Yet the party elders have managed to befuddle and domesticate their commoners into a class of pliable obedient serfs, convinced that issues like abortion, gays, guns and being protectionist isolationists is somehow much more of a priority than better wages, benefits, affordable medical care and wider opportunities for being educated, things that positively improves the lives of all Americans. It seems their rank and file members have been convinced by their party apparatchiks that those desirable goals are only meant for some Americans (themselves) and not for "those others" who for some contrived reason or another don't deserve those very same things.

It's true that Fox will not cover it although I'm glad that in recent years they have taken the mask off. Remember how through the 90's and 2000's they constantly claimed they were the 'fair and balanced' news network? Their claim used to be they were the only ones reporting the real news and everyone else was liberally biased. At least now they openly act as a right wing propaganda outlet.

FOX have issued free VR headsets (virtually speaking) to every one of their viewers and they wear those damn things like horse blinders making them oblivious to the real world, even when they're on the crapper or in bed whacking off on Bannon and Trump's "fight for their rights and liberties" to be the finest racists and anti-gay heroes, of which their corporate owned political leaders have exploited as a ploy to divide the nation's working class folks and keep them fighting among themselves over non-economic issues that won't mess with those ultra-wealthy businessfolks' bottom line.
