Beauty pageant winners should try to be more PC, said no one ever. Try as I might, I can't find a way to justify stripping the beauty pageant winner of her crown over what she tweeted. If one is looking for role models at a beauty pageant, perhaps one should reconsider one's own values.

Except of course the Miss America organization pretty explicitly holds its contestants up as role models so it makes perfect sense for them as an organization to do exactly that.

I agree that people shouldn’t look to beauty pageant contestants as role models but Miss America pretty clearly disagrees with us.

Why is it that there are people out there that think that Israel is somehow part of the United States but Puerto Rico isn't?

This country is still trying to make up for our inaction in Europe when Hitler was killing all the Jews. This position is ironic seeing as the people of this country believed in doing nothing for the peoples of Europe including the Jews up until the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor causing Hitler to declare war on the United States. Hell, the people of the United States were against allowing refugees from Europe into the country once war broke out, most Jewish immigrants came in through Switzerland (Einstein followed this route out of Germany).

Didn't Hitler offer up the Jews of Europe to the United States to take in after they had set up the ghettos?

If she had a post detailing Israel's human rights abuses I'm sure she would've gotten the boot and that is basically the opposite side of the first post.

If she had a post about how white men with legally obtained guns commit the vast majority of mass murders with political slant she'd probably get the boot too, which is the opposite side of "blacks kill blacks, why should we care."

Here's the thing, bashing people (conversative view points) are a lot different than saying we should help people (liberal view points) in the context of good PR. The big difference is the distasteful view of conservatives are more mainstream, while the distasteful view points of liberals are more on the extreme side.

Exactly. The issue is that conservative viewpoints are inherently hateful and damaging, and people are starting to see that. Conservatives are even being more honest about it, but then of course throw a tantrum when called out on it.

Republican economic policies are harmful to America.
Republican immigration policies are harmful to America.
Republican foreign policy is harmful to America.
Republican education policies are harmful to America.
Republican health care policies are harmful to America.
....
Republican policies are harmful to America. Not because they are Republican but because they are bad policies, that Republicans have chosen, many intentionally because of the harm they cause.
