I'm not expert about Herzog but really really liked Little Dieter Needs to Fly and bought the DVD. I should watch it again, it's guaranteed to please. It's a documentary.

Here's the note I made for my own edification the day after I first watched this:

Phenomenal documentary. There aren't words to describe how harrowing and disillusioning (if you're given to living in an illusory state of mind) this feature is. I saw the last 2/3 of the edited down version shown on PBS last night. 1/6/2004. On PBS they called it Escape From Laos. It was done by Werner Herzog and I'm sure I should check out his other work. Of course, I've heard of his work for decades but don't know that I've ever seen any of it before last night. I guess I have to get this DVD. The descriptions of the horror of his captivity as well as his escape and subsequent incredible hardship of his attempt to reach safety are mindbending and brutally eclipse the comfort of civilization. What a stark statement! Holy Shit! I have to check out the other Herzog stuff. Undoubtedly, much of it is also extremely powerful.

LOL did you read that article? Says many things, one of which is that Trump and Habba tried to use information from Russian intelligence, without citing the source, to support Trump's claims. WTF?

These kinds of sanctions are pretty rare, especially in these amounts. But there it is - Trump is the poster child for abuse of process.
