Either you take his "There will be violence if I lose" and "Antifa is violent" statements as completely separate, in which case your original post calling out the selective quoting of Trump is incorrect since he IS saying there would be violence if he loses (his base presumably). Or you take those statements together to say Antifa would be violent if he loses, in which case it doesn't make sense since again, why would Antifa be violent if Trump LOSES?

So what were you going for with your post calling out the OP?
This is hard, because it is hard to decipher Trump's word salad a lot of the time.

It is hard to know what Trump means because he is such a poor orator that the White House has to regularly hold press conferences to explain what he means or correct what he said, and sometimes correct the correction when he disagrees with the correction since it seems that even the White House communicates director does not always understand what he means.

Lets face it, most of his speeches are incoherent rambling where he just repeats some trigger or dog whistle phrases several times with no clear grammatical or contextual connection between them.

Do you think Republicans really wanted to put blacks back in chains?

Rallying the base against a perceived enemy, real or imagined, is nothing notable.

No. But I think it's an insult to try to lump Trumpanzee in with real Republicans. In fact, even real Republicans consider it a denigration. Totally explains why so many Republicans are refusing to run for reelection, and just plain quitting.

No one can point to a single president in this country's entire 260 year history where even a president's own party despised him.

Even Republicans might have thought that baby Bush was a little bit goofy, but they never ran out on him.

Donny is unique, in that he is almost universally despised.

Trumpanzees: similar to chimpanzees, only not quite as intelligent.

those republicans are in the minority. the large majority of republicans are trump supporters now.

So much this. Once Trump won the GOP sold its soul. We may need to begin mass deprogramming efforts.

Where's Doc Brown when we need him?

Methinks the Repub Party is much like a chameleon or one of those science fiction shape shifters where upon Trump's demise they will transform colors and shape back to the holier-than-thou, family values, personal responsibility, fiscal conservative party they like to appear to be.

Though since Trump took office, he made things quite clear how fake and disingenuous the party really is. I mean, as I've said before, just look at what their politicians say all the time and compare that with their legislative accomplishments. What they say is invariably opposite of what they do and it's always in favor of their wealthy sponsors who comprise the donor class of the nation.

With big religion supporting them all the way to their goals. I offer this example starting at just over a minute but I couldn't take too much more beyond 1:36.

Heh, every time I think about the exclusive groups that comprise the bulk of the extremist support for Trump and therefore the Repub Party proper, seemingly contrasting entities pop up like the evangelicals and the KKK/Nazi's/other racist organizations that IMO would otherwise "supposedly" despise each other, yet here they all are united under the Trump banner, a banner that speaks to incessant lying, disingenuous rhetoric, tacit support of racists, an unholy union between corrupt gov't officials and the predominant religious order..........one big, messy, self-flagellating party intent on out-doing themselves in order to...........rid the party of casual or disloyal ones that are susceptible toward compromising with the socialist gay loving heathen Democrats?

Meh, I watched the whole thing while guitar practice this morning. It's the same fear mongering that was going on for the ~15 years I was raised Evangelical. They've essentially moved all the way from moral superiority to the religious war being their motivator.

I think a closer analogy, might be the old Dracula movies. Where you have all these vampires that haven't been killed yet, but once you kill the master vampire (Trump), all the other vampires return to "normal".

Whatever that is for the Republicants.

Sadly this has been normalized in churches making someone like me out to be an out of line outlier.

Yes, I predict in a few years it won’t be very easy to find people who will admit to having supported Trump. The same thing happened with GWB. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that Bush has no idea what he was doing and was generally incompetent but conservatives were behind him 100%.

Remember, this ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ got its start as Bush Derangement Syndrome. In the mid 2000’s pointing out that Bush was a giant fuckup meant to conservatives that you were just some crazed partisan. Now, basically everyone admits the liberals were right and Bush was terrible. Republicans elect another fuckup and what happens? The exact same thing.

Some people just never learn I guess.

Brother there are everyday people who look up to him for spiritual guidance and that pains me. This is the prevailing attitude in christian assemblies, especially in the so called full gospels realm. I cannot with a good conscience be a part of such things.

I think I'll skip the video and go straight to the guitar.

You know I was just looking at the verse of the day which reminds folks of the different divides that society has thrown up to keep people from coming together. When people seem to go off on that tangent racism almost always follows.

LoL... there is a video by Stephen Crowder on youtube in Dearbourn, MI attempting to purchase a gay wedding cake from 3 different Muslim bakers. He was rejected by each. Note that he didn't go to the next step and file a lawsuit. In the meantime the Christian baker is being dragged into court once again.

Exactly. Why didn't he?
