Younger kids grew up in the aftermath of the Iraq War. Most of them werent even born when the Soviet Union fell. Trump is mentally still in the early 80's.

Redacted, good point though.

Yes, the sort who "will never have the least bit moral ethics to do anything but protect your own when it comes to targeting lower status people".

White nationalists are the real victims here.

More accusing everyone of racism. You make this such a quality place.

AT is a terrible place to get a pulse on what the bulk of America actually thinks. This place is nothing but an echo chamber of the far left, but even worse it's not guided by any principle it seems but rather this desire to attack the other side and defend your own no matter what. Plenty of insults hurled at those with a different viewpoint followed by high fives and likes by their fellow brethren, but nothing of substance and very little actual discussion.

The younger generation is going to be just fine. I'd encourage you to visit other forums that have a broader range of users on the political spectrum to really get a flavor of what's out there. Not that there aren't plenty of idiots on both sides - there certainly is - but this place has a tendency to warp perspectives and rot minds.

Hey, you're the ones calling people idiots here.

Go away then instead of spamming if you do not care for the place.

That's actually an important point. Anyone currently in HS or college really only knows the post Iraq war world we set on fire 15 yrs ago.

At what point to ppl get tired of it?

Let's make this real simple: the leader of your party/ideology makes a habit of riling up those peers about the threat of browns a thousand miles away. And you will never have the ethical conscience to ever speak critically of this. But people who insinuate that those peers use this racial resentment to justify funding "defense" from said browns are the Real racists.

It's simple objective reality that you will say/do anything to avoid looking bad while behaving the part, as the facts rightly demonstrate.

Regarding the budget...

Pretty much what you would expect. Cry about the deficit in the campaign then mash the gas on the spending once in office. GOP SOP.

We haven't even factored in the massive tax cuts for the rich in yet.

We'll blow through that $20T debt milestone in no time with nothing to show for it other than shitty roads, stupid ppl, nasty water and a shit load of guns and missiles to constantly maintain.

Jesus Christ we're irresponsible....

Thing is that we've been fighting guys whose state of the art is like a toyota pickup with a machine gun on the back. For ten years or more. Pumping more money into space-age weaponry won't help against these guys.

China and Russia do not have the expansionist ideology that the Soviet Union had. Both of them are fundamentally isolationist, and it is becoming obvious that the prudent thing to do is to respect their boundaries.

Also, more war tends to bring in more foreign immigration. It tends to provoke more attacks on us. Most young kids who have alt-right sympathies see Japan as the example to follow: don't bother anyone, don't get bothered by anyone, closed borders, high quality of life.

Who would ever hire someone for a job that just repeated over and over again "this company is not a solution, it is the problem!" Yet, people keep electing those people to office.

Trump and co. are part of a greater plan to cause more chaos in the world. Notice how Saudi Arabia is never mentioned as being an "evil" Muslim country? It's for a reason. Also, the governments are working with the media to instill fear into their populations to support more war. Ever notice "Terror Threat Levels" in the media and other stuff like that? It's there for a reason.

The current agenda is to pit one group of people against another group. Call one side progressive and the other side regressive. West vs East. This way, the people have an easier time picking sides and hating the opposing side. Remember, your Leaders and media give you the sides to choose from. You have no say despite what you think.

Notice how only certain countries or people are mentioned. Nothing is real. Your so-called enemies are not your enemies. Your so-called friends are not your friends.

There's apparently nothing the american taliban or even white-isis sorts can do to disabuse the notion that everyone but you are the sheeple.

Trump is insane. 'We need to start winning wars again' - Donald Jackass Trump. Who says something like that ? There is no significant war right now and why the fuck would you want to start one ? Yee-haw! Let's go bomb some poor people and get some of our own citizens killed while we're at it!

Yosemite.gif

Do people actually want this in the US ? There is already so much money pumped into the military as it is, cut programs that provide services domestically to waste more money on the military ? So much gets spent already, you'd think the idea would be to cut the budget. Who is exactly a threat that requires spending more ?

Really sad that he is already as much as admitting to expecting to start a war, when there is no legitimate imminent threat. It will be the same old story, the unjustified bombing of some third world country that can't put up a feasible defense and kill a bunch of poor people.

Sounds like a load of unsubstantiated BS much like your Japan example, seeing as they are actually opening their borders to immigrants...
