Here's the difference: most of us can make fun of the sometimes over-the-top nature of intersectional feminism/LGBT rights while still being sympathetic to it. You only laugh because you're genuinely afraid of these people and want them to go away.

It's like the difference between an actual prank and the "pranks" that just involve making others suffer (like the kind that recently saw YouTube stars lose custody of their kids). One is good-natured (even self-critical) ribbing; the other is being a sadistic asshole.
