Trump is taking revenge for all those things that their Repub working class constituency were told were really really REALLY bad for them like affordable health care, powerful regulatory agencies that protect their health, welfare and pocketbooks, unions that give the working class an equal say at the table of prosperity, affordable education, better pay and benefits for public school teachers, reducing those poisons in our air and water that came from heavy industry, a living wage.......you know really bad shit like that and they adore him for it.

And wouldn't you know, their constituency actually believes that crap and are willing to deny themselves all of those "bad things" in order to stay loyal to the folks who are laughing their asses off at these fools who are stupid/gullible/angry/frustrated/misguided enough to ignore the fact they are being played and played well.

Ahhh well, such is the state of the Repub Party that Trump can twitter his lies and his empty threats to his heart's content and the Party has to back up and back pedal every single one of them while defiantly keeping their heads held high and outwardly being proud of Trump while they quietly wish he would just shut the fvck up and quit embarrassing and insulting them with his own stupidity and complete lack of statesmanship.

While part of me is scared that we have a president who is this mentally unbalanced part of me is also really enjoying this. He’s going absolutely berserk because he knows Mueller is closing in on him. You can tell it’s just eating away at him and I can’t think of a more deserving person.

What’s really going to be interesting is if the Democrats take the House in November because then the GOP congress won’t be able to protect him anymore. He’s going to get eaten alive.

I saw a piece on the news yesterday (don't remember which network, probably Fox) that said Trump's "strategy" is to let Dems win the house ! He knows the Senate will protect him and then win back the House and Senate bigly in 2020 because of the Dem controlled House witch hunt.

If that is his actual strategy then he is a very stupid person. His goal should be to avoid any democratic majorities at all costs.

See, he still really has no clue about the legislative process. All he cares about is 2020. He thinks that he can use whatever the democrats (specifically Nancy Pelosi) do, as a club to focus hate on the democrats, cause he has to have an other, an enemy to run against. That's the theory the talking heads were going over on last nights cable news outlets.

Yes I'm sure he would gain an enemy to run against but he'll already have that in whoever the Democrats nominate. As for the rest, he can have Nancy Pelosi to hate on until then but in return he's going to get his tax returns subpoenaed and likely released in some form along with endless investigations into himself and his family. If he does not realize and appreciate the absolutely colossal amount of corruption that the Republicans are covering his ass on right now he will have a very rude awakening next January if the Democrats win.

I'm not sure he appreciates the mortal danger to his presidency that the oversight committee could be with subpoena power. I mean lets be honest here that there is likely to be be an incredible amount of wrongdoing in the federal agencies well beyond what the media has been able to uncover.

3. Mueller is the reincarnation of Joe McCarthy? Are you fucking kidding me? Although this has been a talking point for quite some time, since both involve Russia and both were called out as witch hunts. Of course there is a nothing similar about investigating actual documented foreign influence of elections, vs destroying ordinary peoples lives based on their belonging to the wrong political party 30 years ago.
