This was posted in Trump2020 thread and I said "is the orange menace going to serve their sentences when they get caught"?
The reason, that there is little fraud committed is that the penalties for try to vote twice are very
severe. There is very little benefit to the risk of felony voter fraud.

This guy got caught in NC in the exact manner in which the orange menace is telling people to do.
Dewey Gidcumb
Dewey Gidcumb, of Haywood County, was found guilty of voting twice in the 2016 Republican Primary. Gidcumb first cast a ballot in the early voting period, then voted a second time on Election Day. He received a five-to-15-month suspended prison sentence, one year of supervised probation, and 24 hours of community service. He was also fined $100 and ordered to pay court costs.

Pasco Parker
Pasco Parker, a 63-year-old Tennessee resident, admitted to voting in three states during the 2012 federal election. He mailed an absentee ballot to both Florida and North Carolina, and he voted in person in Tennessee. Upon pleading guilty to felony voting fraud and felony voter registration, Parker was sentenced to between six and 17 months of jail time, and was ordered to complete 48 hours of community service. The sentence was later suspended in favor of 24 months of supervised probation, and $940 in fees, fines, and court costs. This case was brought to the attention of election officials by a North Carolina volunteer voting watchdog group, The Voting Integrity Project.

Here's guy who thought he was able to vote but because of a felony, he faced 2 years in prison.

What is the point of registration if they don't check for eligibility?

you'd get less time for assaulting and putting someone in the hospital than voting by mistake in TX.
That ruling was awful. Simply awful. The lady worked hard, got her life in order and then is thrown in prison for trying to vote? Whoever the sentencing judge was will probably go to hell.

It's a crime to encourage others to commit voter fraud, so the answer is no. He won't be serving their time. He'll be serving his own.
My post was rhetorical but I agree that what he's suggested is a crime and if not, should be.

What he's suggesting is absolutely a crime, but the act of suggesting it is also a crime.

He suggested that voters in North Carolina vote twice. Here is what NC's Elections Code has to say about that:

Any person who shall, in connection with any primary, general or special election held in this State, do any of the acts or things declared in this section to be unlawful, shall be guilty of a Class I felony. It shall be unlawful:

(7) For any person with intent to commit a fraud to register or vote at more than one precinct or more than one time, or to induce another to do so, in the same primary or election, or to vote illegally at any primary or election.

To induce means to successfully encourage, so someone would have to actually do it. But if anyone did do it at his suggestion, he'd be guilty of one felony for each occurrence.

we all know the right isn't always the most thoughtful or logical folks around, quite a few run on emotions.

if someone votes twice does that cancel their vote?

And Barr just left that idea out there by being all “I don’t know". He "said" He doesn’t know the laws of a particular state. As if voting twice could be legal somewhere. Yep, just go out there and throw some more disinformation into the mix. I’m sure your boss is proud.

If nothing else, he loses NC but then he can claim that the vote is rigged. Doesn’t matter who tried to do the rigging, rigged is rigged as far as he’s concerned. And of course - if people “clog” the polls by asking if their vote has been recorded, it also benefits Trump. They’ll turn the election into a circus so that they can selectively claim irregularities and make their power grab.

But when does freedom of speech to its only a joke finally cross the line to a crime? Like he could say in his next rally kill Biden and GOP would still pass off the line as a joke.

It truly would be the oddest way for the Republican party to render itself extinct... by getting all its voters sent to jail :D

Let them face jail time. The guy can't even figure out how to freaking vote in person per video so I'm not at all surprised.

The Mafia has no fear of jails when it runs the jails. The Republican Party is owned by Putin who hands out money and power to those willing to loot the nation as He helps Trump tear it apart by hatred.

“It’s the liberals, that are the enemy, not the criminals. A life of crime is a beautiful thing. Just create a cult and pass the plate. You’ll go to hell without us.”

But it’s a labor of love to be so deplorable while holding your head high and imagining you don’t stink.

Well if there’s one thing I know conservatives hate, it’s voter fraud.
All a Republican needs to do to make criminal actions justified is to tell himself or herself he or she is just compensating for the past actions of the other side, the things liberals are guilty of by their nature. An eye for an eye with God on your side. Onward Zombie soldiers, marching off to war.......

I wonder what N.C. law is on encouraging people to commit a crime? He keeps sinking lower and lower every day, and we still have 9 weeks to the election, I literally can’t imagine what kind of shit he will do and say in October.

What's next? ... He’ll proudly shit in his pants during one of his pressers or debates. Then he would immediately blame “The Socialist Democrat Party” for poisoning him.

Actually the reaction of his supporters would probably proceed like:
  1. “He didn’t shit his pants. That was a bad camera angle. The socialist fake-news media is making things up.”
  2. “The Socialist Democrat Party” poisoned him.
  3. Man, Trump really trolled the Libs hard, shitting in his pants on live TV like that. I like him more than ever now!
  4. Trump: "I shit my pants, and nobody can do anything about it". "It is what it is".

Trump’s a complete fucking moron. He couldn’t steal a seat at a town council. He certainly can’t steal the Presidency on his own. He would need other people to help steal the election for him. He would absolutely need assistance, and he could most likely get it. Bill Barr could help him. Chad Wolf could help him. The acting director of national intelligence could help him. State governors, legislatures, election boards, and secretaries of state could help him.

He only needs to create (or knowingly allow) a situation in which there is a legitimate legal question about the electoral process. Then the stampede of lawsuits begins. Then states refuse to certify elections. That’s pretty much all it would take. Democracy isn’t natural. In fact, over the past 50 years only 25 to 45 percent of the world’s countries (and a clear minority of the world’s total population) live in a state of democracy. Democracy doesn’t come naturally; it is hard work, and it requires that people value, respect, and agree to play by democratic rules. What if they just, don’t?
