I have to admit, this ad is very well done, for what it is . . . which is kind of like admiring the steaming hot mess your dog just left on your neighbor's lawn.

I especially like his wife, Botox Betty's lips! It's wildly appropriate, imho, that anyone who would marry this brash bigot has a fake surround to her lie-hole (see what I did there?)

Scary to see this type of candidate to be the norm, the scarier part however is that so many people identify with this. That sentiment isn't going to change for a long time.

what kind of guitar, what kind of amp?

The amp is a 15 watt Monoprice that I like more and more. Solid state amps can be pretty good but I'm a tube guy.

Ther guitar is a G&L Legacy Tribute custom limited

2016 model if it makes a difference. Heh, I just sat I shot my foot too. :D

Looks nice! I'm more traditional with Strats, s/s/s
I finally got a guitar I was wanting for a long, long time, a Tele, with a rosewood board. Plays like a dream
This is a stock photo, not the actual guitar. And a fantastic Fender Superchamp XD that's about 10 years old.

Teles are great as nothing else has "that sound".

People may not know G&L as much as Fender, but IMO Leo made some nice improvements over his original work. The single pickups have a classic sound and the humbucker allows for a more "driven" sound and the pickups play well together.

The name Monoprice might make people think "cheap crap", and the first part is right but it's not crap. It has a Celestion Seventy 80 that a lot of people aren't crazy about but it needs break-in and after half a dozen hours it's starting to loosen up.

Maybe Trump needs to learn guitar and adopt zen.

Leo's a bit of a hero to me. It's baffling that he was able to engineer the Strat, Tele, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, etc all without being able to play music.
Yea, I gotta admit, I saw 'monoprice' and thought "huh?" is that really any good?
But clearly it is.
Probably should stop derailing this thread, sorry.

Not to disrespect the OP but sometimes I like when people derail mine if it isn't malicious or "well what about YOUR GUY" thing.

As long as we take the main topic seriously and aren't trolling Perk might even join in on the discussion :)

These are conversations. Conversations between friends meander much as an online link leads you somewhere else, and so on. I have zero problem with this.

By the way, that Tele is fucking perfect. Thin neck, rosewood fretboard, plays like a dream. I can go from London's Burning to Breakdown effortlessly.

You should hook up with my rhythm and blues brother. He collects guitars.

But he's always been absurdly stubborn, and he's a dyed in the wool Tea-Party Trumpie. His wife had told him "Gee, Dan! We're rich now! We have to vote Republican!"

So -- don't hook up with my brother for any jams or auditions . . .

Yea, as I live in FL I get to see the political shi*-storm on a daily basis. Trump nut-huggers abound around here, none of the GOP candidates have a set of testicles to becomes their own man. Oh please dear God, may Muller douse this talking bag of vomit in a gallon of 93 and ignite him with glee. Heck, Muller must be a proud man and he's endured months of vomit-bag calling him "fake" and "corrupted", he must be chomping at the bit to take chetto down.
