Received no attention why? Imagine the outrage if Biden had given permission to attack a US airbase. THis also reveals this entire short lived attack was all for show. Imagine POTUS risking the lives of the troops for an arrogant display.

Link to press conference is in article where Trump admitted it.

It received no attention, but the link you posted links to the Washington Times article, which does make this sort of a classic "why is no one talking about this thing being talked about in this article I linked that links to the article by a well-known publication?"
Obviously you're right that the right-wing media would be raving about this if it were a (D) President, but it does sound like the end result was a bit of nothing?

Seems like trumps bs has just worn people out though

“And uh, they were very nice. They gave us warning. They said we're going to shoot them. Is 1:00, OK? I said it's fine. And everybody was emptied off the base so they couldn't get hurt except for the gunners. They call them the gunners. And uh, out of 14 high end missiles that were shot at the base in Qatar, all 14, as you know, were shot down by our equipment.”

Weird.

I kind-of had the impression that the Washington Times was a right-wing propaganda sheet. Seems it's the publication I vaguely remember as being founded and owned by the Moonies (according to wikipedia that 'church' still owns it*). Not exactly a prestigious media outlet, but not sure what it means that _they_ are the ones reporting this story.

The whole thing is rather weird.

* Now I think of it, I remember now that for a long time I wrongly thought it was the Washington Post that was a Moonie publication. That was a pretty major misapprehension, though neither paper was ever of any relevance to me, at least till the world-wide-web came along.
