That sounds like it is Mexico's problem and agree with Boomer. They left the USA to avoid our laws and made their home in Mexico. Let Mexico handle it.

I've been to Mexico back many decades ago and had a lot of fun in TJ.

Now you couldn't pay me to go to that dumpster fire of a country.

Kids in Riverside county still caravan to TJ on the weekends, where the drinking age is only 18.

And millions of people yearly go to Cancun, Cabo, PV, and other places in Mexico which are fine. Old town in PV is one of the great places on this earth imo.

He's mouthing off to distract his rabid fan base from all his problems.
And it works every single time. In fact it also usually distracts his critics.

My local Trumpanzees are salivating for some cruise missiles into Mexico. Gotta strike them Cartels! Defend Americans from terrorist attack, defend America, MAGA!

The concept of a brain... no where to be found.

130K people killed in Mexico violence: meh, let's deport some more there
2 white women killed in Mexico: DEFCON 1

It was a most brutal and horrific slaughter of 3 families. Downplaying it does not serve you well.

Unless someone else was President, that happened under Obama's admin.

the widely- and thoroughly-debunked zombie lie-scandal resurfaces again!

do you ever get tired of peddling the same fake nonsense, over and over and over?

Yes it was, but we're also freaking out because it happened to people who happen to be Mexican and American citizens living in Mexico while we consistently ignore the daily violence that we've had a significant hand in creating. I wish we could be as passionate about the other 130K victims.

What would you estimate the chances are that they will ask us? On a scale of 0 to 0.0?
I would guess it's low. Still doesn't change the fact that his statement was about willing to assist Mexico if requested, and not the misleading headlines and rants about Trump is going to send the US military to invade Mexico.

Can you show us where OBama was responsible for this what you call "scandal?"

Holder was Obama's AG.

I don't think he was genuinely downplaying the massacre, I read it as properly calling to attention how we ignore the hundreds or thousands of deaths annually by the cartels, until it's some really extra heart-wrenching tale involving women and children who happen to still cling to their decades-long US citizenship even though they no longer wanted to live here. Yes, it is fucking tragic. Is it worth invading another country over? I'd think long and hard about that.
Do you think this is the first occurrence of minors and females being murdered by the cartels in Mexico?

What was debunked? Your knowledge of facts?
And yet you struggle to accept the reality of the current administration and what their actions are doing to the country? Huh. Strange that you can waffle so hard on what 'facts' are from one story to another, depending on whodunit.

It's like that old joke:
Mexican cartels: We are going to kill 130000 Mexicans and 9 photogenic Americans.
Media: Oh noes, 9 photogenic Americans?
Mexican cartels: See, no one cares about the 130000 Mexicans.

I am sorry that you have to post a article that has no mention of OBama actively6 doing anything wrong!
Yet we have many instances of Trump doing many things wrong...including lying and misstating facts!
Just because Holder was was the AG under Obama does not reflect at all on Obama! Nice try though!!
Compared to Trump`s administration the Obama administration was scandal free!!

People who move to Mexico do so for many reasons without regard for their safety. They rolled the dice in a 3rd world country and lost big time. While I feel for them they share contributory negligence for going there in the first place exposing their families to the corruption and violence.

Prohibition has never worked. We could solve so many problems if we'd just legalize a bunch of the relatively safer drugs. Defund the cops, for-profit prisons, the cartels and the illegal drug trade instantly. Make clean versions of drugs available to consenting adults in a clean facility with proper medical supervision. Tax monies raised would support health care, education and drug rehabilitation. Society would cease to suffer from the crimes committed by addicts looking to fund their habit.

Shit, I'd rather we suffer with meth bars or heroin clubs on every corner where someone can drug themselves into oblivion than keep up on this insane drug war. It would be cheaper in terms of $$$ and human suffering compared to what we have now. At least for society it would. As I said, prohibition never works, even if what we are trying to prohibit is ultimately deadly for the user.

They were born there. The family has been in Mexico for decades after splitting off from the LDS church as they wanted to continue polygamy. The family is armed to the teeth having imported guns illegally from the U.S., has had run-ins with cartels for years, runs its own armed patrols, pretty much owns the town, and has been alleged to kidnap "brides".
