Not actually surprising, but still important to point out just how disgusting this human being is. At least 100,000 people are dead and the real number could easily be 200,000. By the end it could be much higher than that. What is Trump's response? That he's the victim and all these people dying is terribly unfair - to him.

He failed in his job to defend Americans from this pandemic in every way possible and even when confronted with a mountain of bodies he significantly contributed to all he can think about is himself. November can't come fast enough.

It’s one thing to fuck up a response (see Cuomo or bush and Iraq), but it’s entirely a whole new level of malfeasance and incompetence to not even attempt to correct or compensate for your original fuck up.

I would love to hear a trump supporter give an honest answer of why they think he should be re-elected.

Yeah, it's not just that he's bad at his job, it's that he's incapable of doing any better. His brain is just not wired for, well, competence.

The article is spot on...

He is a useful fool. He will never fully understand how he got to where he is or who put him there, so he will never accidentally give them away. Trump does not wield power. He draws attention away from it. Trump is a troll's troll. Many Americans are trolls, or at least maladjusted childlike adults who enjoy schadenfreude too much. They lack empathy and enjoy testicular trauma humor as long as they're only watching. If you get hurt, it's because you were not paying attention/asking for it.

Personality disorders are identified based on observable behaviors not explained by some other condition/disorder. Because Trump's been a public figure for decades we've been able to track his pathology for years. There is no other reasonable explanation for his behavior. His is a textbook example of NPD. He's mentally ill

Who could have predicted this is what he said. (Raise your hands everyone)

". “He was saying, ‘This is so unfair to me! Everything was going great. We were cruising to reelection!”
Even as the death toll neared 100,000 and unemployment ranks swelled to over 38 million, Trump couldn’t
see the pandemic as anything other than something that had happened to him. "

And the kicker:
"Trump complained that he should have been warned about the virus sooner. “The intelligence community let me down!” he said. "

Wow. I guess Jan 23rd wasn't early enough.

Well it is pretty unfair to him that Americans were stupid enough to elect him.

Notwithstanding the lack of a named source for the quotes - that is pretty much exactly what one would expect Trump's internal reaction to be. It's entirely consistent with everything one can see about his personality.

He just was not cut out to be President, and I don't think he ever understood what the job is about. It was just a shiny thing he decided he wanted.

I think he actually believes he’s super smart and super competent so this would all be easy.

I hope Biden continues his strategy of portraying Trump as the whiny, incompetent baby that he is.

You mean his strategy of being seen and not heard? I agree. It’s best to let trump melt down and hurt his own re-election and have Biden just do things we see normal presidents doing.

I would love to hear a trump supporter give an honest answer of why they think he should be re-elected.

They're not honest about why they support him now. Crazies. Racists. White Power Nazis. Misogynists. Xenophobic. Anti-LGBTQ. Wide-eyed Evangelicals that would love nothing more to bring their "end times."

This notion that Republicans are about fiscal responsibility is the shield they would like to hide behind was exposed as the bullshit it always was when Queen Reagan and trickle-down came along.

These still identifying "republicans" won't open their mouths now because they know they can't justify the unjustifiable.

The horrible truth is that Trump is giving them what they want.

This whole section of the article really needs to be quoted.

As he headed into Memorial Day weekend, Donald Trump complained that he was COVID-19’s biggest victim. “He was just in a fucking rage,” said a person who spoke with Trump late last week. “He was saying, ‘This is so unfair to me! Everything was going great. We were cruising to reelection!” Even as the death toll neared 100,000 and unemployment ranks swelled to over 38 million, Trump couldn’t see the pandemic as anything other than something that had happened to him. “The problem is he has no empathy,” the adviser said. Trump complained that he should have been warned about the virus sooner. “The intelligence community let me down!” he said.

The White House declined to comment.

What a bummer for Trump, huh? He was riding high after assassinating Soliemani & beating back impeachment, not to mention a red hot economy. Golf. Rallies. Working his bullshit. Neener-neener! Fuck you, Libtards! And then, he just fucking blew it when he tried to power bullshit his way through a deadly global pandemic. He can't gaslight a virus. Covid-19 DGAF what he says, never did. The magnitude of that arrogant folly is only beginning to be felt.

The Intel briefings on Covid started in November.

Conservatives are the biggest victims on the planet.

Don't believe me?

Just ask any one of them, persecuted at every step they are. And it's white male Christians who are the biggest victims, and they'll let you know.
What I found funny is that even in 2017-18 when they controlled everything they still claimed everything was against them.

They are entitled babies. Nothing more.

He’s the biggest victim of Covid-19?????? Okay Trumpards, what’s your lame excuse to defend that?
You know what it will be already. Just write up the common buzzwords they like to use on pieces of paper and toss 'em up in the air. "MSM" "libtards" "fake news" "snowflakes" and so on - the contents of the excuse doesn't matter, not even to them. They've chosen their Messiah already and they're not abandoning ship.

These deplorables aren't human beings, and they're beyond redemption. They've had countless chances to see Dumpy for the malignant narcissist egomaniac mythomaniac con-man that he really is and refused every time.

He just was not cut out to be President, and I don't think he ever understood what the job is about. It was just a shiny thing he decided he wanted.
Actually, it was something he thought he deserves to have. He already sees himself as a king, or emperor; he is someone who demands loyalty and fealty from those around him, and who sees himself as infallible. When he fucks up, it's always somebody else's fault. It's not what he wants others to think; it's what he himself believes.

I think he actually believes he’s super smart and super competent so this would all be easy.
Indeed. He's already said variations on "nobody ever knew presidenting was so hard!" on several occasions, such as regarding his stillborn attempts at replacing Obamacare for example.

The Intel briefings on Covid started in November.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Only, Dumpy has no relation to truth whatsoever; he could have had daily covid briefings in four-color print images since his inauguration and he would still have shoved the intel community under the bus. I don't think he's even aware of what truth or lie actually is, other than perhaps in a highly abstract, textbook definition sense.

He lies so naturally and readily about anything that it shows he's not even aware he's doing it. A normal person has to think up a lie, on the spot. Dumpy just says whatever he thinks you want to hear - or perhaps more commonly, what he wants you to think (usually about him). "I'm such a great business man" "I have the biggest brain" - the list is endless of his obviously false self-aggrandizements.
