Ahh, identity politics. Too bad he fell for the DNC trap.

It's like when you call somebody racist. Doesn't matter how many minority friends they have, they will always be racist in the mind of the accuser.

Lol. It's obvious what they were doing. It's why they ran woman after woman, illegals, mothers of criminals....etc up there. Identity politics.

How come those parents didn't blame what was to blame for their sons death? They could have taken a stand against radical islamists, but decided not to. Why? Because they'd be attacking their own. Better to attack trump

Go Trump, attack his wife

It's probably useless to discuss, but anyone without blinders on can see he's not "attacking his wife", he's bringing up one of the factors of the islamic world where his wife is to remain silent behind him.

They didn't blame anyone. That was a big part of their point.

Except that had nothing to do with it but that would stop a Trump from using it.

What a complete and utter jackass Trump is.
Jackass is too kind, Trump is pure excrement.

Everyone should be demanding of that P.O.S. Trump, the words of Joseph Welch: "Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"

Incidentally the NPR story actually left out part of Trump's response.

“Who wrote that?" Trump continued, referring to Khan's six-minute remarks. "Did Hillary's script writers write it? I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard.”

Pressed by Stephanopoulos to name the sacrifices he’d made for his country, Trump said: “I think I've made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I've had tremendous success. I think I've done a lot.”
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...diers-father-ve-made-lot-sacrifices/87790612/

Clearly those parents who lost children who were fighting for their country as members of the military must understand their sacrifice is nothing compared to Trump's own "sacrifices" hiring people for his businesses with the objective of making money.

And you're driving with islamic oil in your car. :colbert:

99% irrelevant as to PROPER VETTING our immigrants, rather than an open-border c'mon-in policy.

You two are really fun to watch flail away.

Go, go, attempted rationalization.

What does dying for your country have anything to do with immigration? We limit immigration from a lot of countries.

Really depends upon where you are in the U.S., doesn't it?

Since Canada is the #1 exporter of oil to the U.S. by a long shot, it'd almost make more sense to say you're driving with Canuck oil in your car than Saudi/Iraqi/Kuwaiti oil.

Fact: The U.S. imported 1.37B barrels of oil from Canada in 2015, about 2.5X more than the Middle East exported to the U.S.

We imported 386M barrels from Saudi Arabia in 2015, along with 75M from Kuwait and 84M from Iraq, or 544M barrels. The rest of the Middle Eastern countries have negligible exports to the U.S....UAE sent 1.3M barrels to the U.S. in 2015, Qatar 3M, and Bahrain under 1M.

So, 544M barrels from the three largest Islamic countries in 2015, or less than Mexico and Venezuela exported to the U.S., which totaled 580M barrels (Mexico-277M, Venezuela 303M barrels.)

I think the chances you have "Islamic" oil in your car is smaller than having Canadian or Western Hemisphere oil there.

I wonder what he means by Islamic oil? Blessed by an Imam before export? Or, maybe they curse it so that it will defile the engines of the infidel.

Aren't you Canadian, Maxi Pad?

Regarding the wife remaining silent while her husband was speaking at the convention, what would it have changed for Trump if she had said anything that evening? Absolutely nothing. The only thing Trump knows how to do is attack anyone who says anything that displeases him, even the parents of an American hero. Hell, he was just saved by the fire department from being stuck in an elevator and he went on stage and attacked the Fire Marshall. Trump has no self control, proving that beyond all doubt when Hillary trolled him on his lack of control in the use of Twitter which only enraged him into responding to her on said medium. Maybe that's why people like you support him; he lacks control, just like you.

BTW, the mother later stated that she was too grief-stricken to speak in front of a large group like that, instead depending on her husband to speak for both of them. You know, like many married couples do...

Have you ever been in a serious, long-term relationship? BTW, your hand doesn't count...

I think a person could be forgiven for thinking that in this case, where Trump used a family's speech about their dead son to shit on the still living members of the family, that things would be different. That we could have finally found something Trump had said which was so shitty and so obviously outed him as human garbage that even you wouldn't be able to bring yourself to defend him.

I guess that was terribly naive, haha.

Yup, that'll learn ya...

I'm seeing lots of conservatives that are repulsed by what Casino Mussolini said to the Khan family, like John Kasich tweeting:

There’s only one way to talk about Gold Star parents: with honor and respect. Capt. Khan is a hero. Together, we should pray for his family.
Trump doesn't do compassion because all Trump can do is 24/7/365 Trump, Trumped up to 11. Nobody else matters to Trump because everything is about Trump. Trump is the glorious pinnacle of humanity, more perfect than perfection itself and anyone who questions that perfect perfection must be publicly humiliated. That's why there was no compassion in his response to the parents of the slain soldier, they don't matter because only Trump matters.

Now for something that is going to piss Trump off to no end:

[...] Bloomberg is not a Democrat. Nor is he running for office. But he gets the threat of physical violence and a fun nickname because someone like Bloomberg offending Trump is especially offensive to Trump.

Any New Yorker can tell you why. It's because Trump has spent decades ignoring one of the cardinal rules of being publicly rich in this town: If you must flaunt your money, then you must also give it away in large sums.

If you don't, then you'll spend your life feeling like an outsider, building resentment against those who should be your set. And that's exactly what Trump has done.

While America has spent decades seeing Trump as a billionaire entrepreneur with a lux lifestyle, New York's elite have spent the same amount of time seeing him very differently — as a tacky sideshow with no regard for social norms.

No, this isn't Edith Wharton's New York City, but there are still rules. For one, if you want to attend everyone's fancy charity parties, then you've got to make a donation. If you don't make the donation, then prepare for everyone to stare daggers at you, to worry about your financial situation, to judge you.

If you don't give, then eventually people will invite you to fewer events. They'll consider you especially rude for going to the ones that you have been invited to out of politeness. That is when you are truly rejected by people who, ideally, since you're a "billionaire, too," should be your peers.

And that's when the gauche things you do as a rich person are suddenly inexcusable. People may see you at parties, but they do not really see you. They see a clown, a joke, a fraud.
Casino Mussolini will be shitting bricks after reading this. Yuge bricks!
