IMHO, we fly the flag at half staff far too often.

For federal flags: Dead Presidents, okay. Dead first spouses, no. Dead current Senators, Congress critters, Supremes, okay. Dead retired Senators, Congress critters, Supremes, no.

In Arizona, the Governor seem to order the flag at half staff every time Dominos gets an order wrong. I've been in large groups of people and not one person knew why the flag was at half staff.
